It started in Sweden…

In 2011, three men from different corners of the food industry found they shared a passion for obscure kitchen gadgetry – and KitchenLab was born. In May 2012 our first store opened in the centre of Stockholm, selling professional kitchen utensils, tools, machines, and kitchen-related design products to both trade and domestic customers.

Business boomed in-store and online, and our range grew with popular brands like MAC, Kyocera, Global, Chroma Type 301 by Porsche, Nigella Lawson, Fissler, DeBuyer, Le Creuset, Global, Rosti Mepal, Scanpan, Cuisinart and Electrolux.

Another successful Swedish shop opened, and we felt the need to expand. Where better than the UK, where the British are just as food obsessed as their Scandinavian cousins!

An exciting collaboration between the founding Swedish directors and a new UK partner, KitchenLab UK supplies premium trade and domestic customers with the highest quality chef’s tools, equipment and ingredients.

We specialise in sourcing ultra hi-spec commercial catering equipment, molecular ingredients, sous vide equipment, bespoke tableware and mixology accessories.

Our financial guru and a foodie in the truest sense, Richard has a nose for the absolute best in everything. There’s barely a product that hasn’t been tried and tested in his kitchen at home. Equally, there’s barely a top restaurant he hasn’t visited. The list of enthusiastic diners who have enjoyed his (superb) home-cooked cuisine is, if we’re honest, grotesquely long.


Per sold kitchenware with his family business long before KitchenLab, but only to restaurants and professional chefs. We still work closely with that business, Oana, now run by Per’s brother. It’s important that KitchenLab’s range comes from the same place the professionals get their stuff – it’s part of our philosophy.


Mat is a UK food and drink entrepreneur with a special interest in sourcing hard to get equipment and state of the art ingredients. He works exclusively with luxury hotels, bars and restaurants sourcing bespoke equipment and ingredients, supporting chefs and bar managers to innovate in their field.


Great cooking and innovative mixology need exceptional ingredients and the latest equipment. KitchenLab UK combines the best of British and Swedish expertise to bring you just that.

Partnering with some of Europe’s top chefs, we’re kept bang up-to-date with the latest trends and technological developments. Jonas Lagerström (Yolo) and Heston Blumenthal (The Fat Duck) are already happy customers.
